Okay, here is a blog post about how I chose neon bridesmaid dresses, hope you guys enjoy it:
So, I was knee-deep in wedding planning, which, let me tell you, is no joke. It’s like, one minute you’re just chilling, engaged and happy, and the next you’re drowning in a sea of flower arrangements, seating charts, and, of course, bridesmaid dresses. The struggle is real, folks. You have no idea.
I knew I wanted something different, something that would really pop. And that’s when it hit me: neon! Yeah, you heard that right. Neon bridesmaid dresses. I mean, why not? Weddings are supposed to be fun, right? It is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I have to make it fun and unforgettable.
First things first, I had to convince my bridesmaids. Let’s just say they weren’t all immediately on board with my bright idea. There were some raised eyebrows, some hesitant “are you sure?”s, and even a flat-out “girl, you’ve lost it.” But I’m nothing if not persistent. I showed them some pictures, talked about how awesome they’d look, and, most importantly, promised them they could pick any style they wanted as long as it was neon.
Next up, finding the dresses. Let me tell you that it is not as easy as you think to find neon bridesmaid dresses that don’t look like they belong in a 1980s music video. I spent hours online, scrolling through pages of dresses. Finally, I found them on a website called Azazie. They had all sorts of styles, and the prices were pretty good. Most of the dresses were under $100, which is great when you’re on a budget. And, they even had plus sizes! That’s so sweet!
I ordered a few different styles in a few different shades of neon. When the dresses arrived, I had my bridesmaids over for a little try-on party. We had some snacks, put on some music, and got down to business.

Choosing the Right Shade
Not all neons are created equal. We tried on a bunch of different shades, from electric blue to shocking pink. In the end, we settled on a vibrant, but not blinding, shade of neon green. It looked good on everyone, which is a miracle in itself.

Style Matters
I wanted my bridesmaids to be comfortable, so I let them pick whatever style they liked best. We ended up with a mix of long and short dresses, some with straps, some strapless. It was a beautiful, neon mess.

Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize
We kept the accessories simple since the dresses were so bright. Some simple silver necklaces and earrings did the trick. And for shoes, we went with nude heels to keep things classy.
The Big Day
On the day of the wedding, my bridesmaids looked amazing. They were like a group of beautiful, glowing fairies. Everyone loved the dresses, and they were a huge hit in the photos. And you know what? My bridesmaids admitted that they actually loved the dresses, too. I knew they would.
So, if you’re a bride-to-be who’s not afraid to do something different, I say go for it! Neon might not be for everyone, but it was definitely for me. And who knows, maybe you’ll start a new trend. A friend of mine said she saw some other bridesmaid dresses in neon in Ottawa. Maybe it is really becoming a trend. I don’t know. At least I am happy with my choice. It is my wedding anyway.
That’s all for today’s blog. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Catch you all next time!
