Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect mint bridesmaid dresses for my best friend’s wedding, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey! I’ve always loved the idea of mint dresses, they just seem so fresh and pretty.
I started by browsing online, just to get a feel for what styles were out there. I quickly realized that “mint” can mean a lot of different things! Some were super light, almost white, while others were a deeper, more vibrant green. I jotted down a few styles that caught my eye – some flowy and romantic, others more structured and modern. I also started a list of stores that seemed to have a good selection.
Hitting the Stores
Armed with my list, I headed out to a few local bridal shops. I dragged my sister along for a second opinion, which was a lifesaver! Trying on dresses in person is so different from just looking at pictures. I found that some of the styles I liked online didn’t quite work in real life, and vice versa. We spent a whole afternoon trying on different shades of mint, different fabrics, and different styles. It was a bit overwhelming, but also a lot of fun. We even took some pictures so I could compare them later.
After a few more shopping trips, I finally narrowed it down to a few contenders. There was this one dress, a flowy, chiffon number with delicate lace details, that I kept coming back to. It just felt right, you know? But I still wasn’t 100% sure.
Decision Time
So, I decided to show the photos to the bride. After all, it’s her big day! She loved the dress I was leaning towards, which was a huge relief. We also talked about what the other bridesmaids might think, since they’d be the ones wearing them.
Finally, after weeks of searching, I made the decision and ordered the dresses! It was such a weight off my shoulders. I was so excited to see them in person, all in the right sizes and everything. Seeing the actual dresses in all their minty glory is pretty great.
No matter what you love, you can find your perfect bridesmaid dresses.
- Choose the right color you want.
- Find some different styles online.
- Go to the store to try on.
- Show them to the bride.
- Order them!
It was definitely a process, but so worth it in the end. Now I’m just counting down the days until the wedding, excited to see my best friend walk down the aisle and her bridesmaids looking gorgeous in their mint dresses!
