Okay, so I’ve been on a mission lately – a mission to find the perfect mesh lace wedding dress. Let me tell you, it’s been quite the adventure! I started this whole thing thinking, “How hard can it be?” Boy, was I in for a ride.
First, I hit up all the usual suspects online. I browsed through BHLDN, Azazie, and Cocomelody. They all have some pretty gorgeous gowns, and the prices are actually not that bad. I learned that they have good relationship with their designers and manufacturers, which is why they can keep the costs down. Who knew, right?
Then I got it into my head that January was the best time to buy. Apparently, it’s a thing because tons of couples get engaged during the holidays. So, I waited patiently, fingers crossed for some killer deals. I stumbled upon Dillard’s website and found that they have a great selection of lace dresses, they also have some pretty good discounts during the new year season. I added a few dresses from there to my collection, they are so pretty!
But I wasn’t just about online shopping. Oh no, I wanted the full experience. So, I booked an appointment at Kleinfeld. Yes, THE Kleinfeld. I figured, why not dream a little, even if their dresses start at, like, $2,000 and go way, way up. Walking in there was like stepping into a bridal dream. They had one dress, I mean it was love at first sight. But $30,000? Yikes!
After that reality check, I decided to check out a few local boutiques. You know, support the smaller businesses and all that. I found a few gems, tried on a bunch of dresses, and even got to chat with some of the shop owners. They gave me some great tips and insights, which was super helpful.
Here is my collection:
- Antonio Melani x Elizabeth Damrich Babe Mesh Long Sleeve Crepe Soutache Full Length Dress.
- STATE Sleeveless V-Neck Empire.
After all that, I finally found the one. It’s this beautiful A-line gown with delicate mesh lace detailing that just makes me feel like a queen. And the best part? It didn’t totally break the bank!
So, what did I learn from all of this?
Well, first off, patience is key. Waiting for the right time to buy can save you a good chunk of change. Second, don’t be afraid to explore all your options, from big-name stores to local boutiques. And lastly, finding the perfect dress is totally doable, it just takes a bit of time and effort.
And that’s my mesh lace wedding dress story! It was a long, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately rewarding experience. Now, I’ve got the dress of my dreams, and I can’t wait to wear it on my big day!
