- Little wrist flowers: You know, them little corsage things? They tie ’em on their wrists, all pretty and such. Less flowers, less money, still looks nice.
- Single stems: Instead of a whole bunch, just give ’em one pretty flower each. A rose, maybe. Or a sunflower, if you’re havin’ a summer weddin’.
- Candles: If you’re havin’ an evenin’ weddin’, they could carry little lanterns or candles. Just be careful they don’t set their hair on fire, y’know!
- Fans: Pretty fans, you know. Good for a hot day, too. Keeps ’em cool and lookin’ nice.
Traditionally, them weddin’ bunches are for the bride and the gals standin’ up with her. But I say, if someone wants a bunch of flowers, give ’em a bunch of flowers! It ain’t nobody’s business but yours and theirs. There ain’t no real rules when it comes to gettin’ hitched, far as I can see.
What Bridesmaids Usually Carry
Mostly, them girls carry a flower bunch when they’re walkin’ down the aisle. It’s part of the whole weddin’ getup. You can get them bunches to match the bride’s, or somethin’ a little different, whatever you like. And you can even give them a little wrist corsage thingy too, to make it extra fancy.
So, Do They Need Them?
The short answer? Nope. It’s up to you. Don’t let nobody pressure you into gettin’ them if you don’t want ’em. It’s your day, do it your way. If you’re happy, and them girls are happy, that’s all that matters. And remember, the most important thing is that you’re marryin’ the person you love. Not the flowers, not the dress, not none of that. It’s about the love. Don’t you forget it.
