Okay, here is my experience of choosing purple and teal bridesmaid dresses.
So, my best friend is getting hitched, and guess what? I’m the maid of honor! Super excited, but also, so much to do. One of the big things was, of course, the bridesmaid dresses. We decided on a color scheme of purple and teal – sounds kinda wild, but trust me, it’s gorgeous.
First, I started by browsing some different styles online. I looked through tons of pictures of dresses. Some were long, some were short, some had lace, some were more simple. I wanted to get an idea of what was out there, and what might look good on all the girls.
Then I started to think about the different body types of the bridesmaids. We’ve got a range of shapes and sizes, so I needed to find something that would flatter everyone. I jotted down some notes about styles that might work well. For example, A-line dresses tend to look good on everyone, and empire waists can be great for girls who want to emphasize their bust.
Then I discussed with my best friend. We looked together at the pictures I’d found, and talked about what she envisioned for the wedding. She had some specific ideas about the shade of purple and teal she wanted, so I made sure to keep that in mind.
After that, I started shopping. I visited a few local bridal shops with some of the bridesmaids. We tried on a bunch of dresses, some purple, some teal, some a mix. It was a lot of fun, but also a bit overwhelming. We took lots of pictures to help us remember what we liked.
We also tried ordering some dresses online. This was a bit risky, since we couldn’t try them on first, but it gave us more options. We made sure to check the return policy before ordering anything, just in case.
- Gathered inspiration: Browsed online for purple and teal dresses, noted different styles.
- Considered body types: Thought about what styles would flatter each bridesmaid.
- Consulted with the bride: Discussed her vision and preferences.
- Shopped in-store: Visited bridal shops, tried on dresses, took pictures.
- Explored online options: Ordered dresses online, checked return policies.
Finally, after trying on what felt like a million dresses, we found the ones! A beautiful flowy purple dress for some of the girls, and a stunning teal dress for the others. They look amazing together, and everyone feels comfortable and confident. And also my best friend loves it!
Lessons Learned
Finding the perfect bridesmaid dresses took some time and effort, but it was totally worth it. It was really helpful to do some research beforehand, and to get input from both the bride and the bridesmaids. And, it’s important to be patient and have fun with the process. At the end, everyone is happy – that’s the best part!
