Okay, so I’ve been messing around with different hairstyles for this wedding I’m going to, and I really wanted to wear a tiara. You know, just to feel like a princess for a day. It’s been a bit of a journey, let me tell you!
First off, I started by looking at a bunch of pictures online. There are just so many options! I spent hours scrolling through different looks, trying to figure out what would work best for me. I mean, there are these classic updos, like where you gather all your hair up into a bun, and also those braided buns that look super fancy.
- I tried doing a simple bun first. Just pulled my hair back and twisted it around. It was okay, but nothing special.
- Then I moved on to a more romantic-looking, swirly bun, which was way harder than it looked. My arms were actually getting tired from holding them up so long!
After that, I decided to try something a little less intense. I went for a half-up, half-down kind of style. Basically, I just took the top part of my hair and tied it back, leaving the rest loose. This one felt a bit more ‘me,’ a bit more relaxed, you know?
But the real fun began when I started experimenting with braids. I always loved braids, but never thought about how cool they could look for something like a wedding. I even practiced putting the tiara on at an angle, just like I saw in a picture.
I also fooled around with different types of braids. Like, I did a regular three-strand braid, then I tried a fishtail braid, which is trickier but looks really cool. My fingers were getting so mixed up sometimes!
My favorite?
Honestly, it was a mix of braids and loose waves. I braided a few sections of my hair and then curled the rest with a curling iron. Then I placed the tiara on top, and it looked… pretty awesome, not gonna lie. It felt elegant but not too stuffy, which is exactly what I was going for. That is my favorite style, and I will definitely go with it in the end.
It took a while, and my bathroom was a total mess with hair ties and bobby pins everywhere, but it was worth it. Finally, I found a style that I think will work perfectly. Now, I just need to practice it a few more times before the big day!
