Okay, so I’ve been on this whole terracotta bridesmaid dress hunt lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey! I had this whole vision in my head – a super earthy, boho-chic wedding vibe, and terracotta was the color I landed on. I started by just casually browsing online, you know, window shopping.
I hit up all the usual suspects. There were tons of options out there, but finding the right shade of terracotta was surprisingly tricky. Some were too bright, some were too brown, and don’t even get me started on the styles. I did find a few contenders though. I saw this one-shoulder dress with pockets for like $59.99, which seemed like a steal. And then there was this other one, more of a flowy, bohemian style, also around $60. One shop, the name was like “Marsroad” or something, had this prom dress that looked promising for $44.99. Seriously, so many choices!
- One shoulder dress with pockets: Looked nice and practical, about $59.99.
- Bohemian style dress: More flowy and relaxed, also around $60.
- Marsroad prom dress: Seemed like a good fit for a bridesmaid dress, $44.99.
Price Check
I learned that the average bridesmaid dress is usually around $150, which is, well, a lot. When you start adding it up for each of your bridesmaids, that’s a chunk of your wedding budget right there. So I was pretty stoked to find some decent options way under that price point.
The whole terracotta color thing was interesting too. Apparently, it’s this earthy, clay-like color that’s kinda vintage but also super trendy right now. It’s like, the perfect mix of old and new, you know? I wanted something that felt natural and grounded, and terracotta seemed to fit the bill. I even read somewhere that navy is like, the ultimate crowd-pleaser color for bridesmaids, but I was already set on my terracotta dream.
Decision Time
Anyway, after days of scrolling and comparing, I finally narrowed it down to a few dresses from this shop called AZAZIE. Their dresses were a bit pricier than some of the others I found, but they looked really well-made, and the reviews were pretty solid. They had so many styles to choose from, and I let my bridesmaids pick their favorites within the terracotta color scheme. This was a big deal because I want them to actually like what they’re wearing! One picked a v-neck, another went for a mermaid style, and a couple chose this cool infinity dress that you can style in like, a million different ways.
I ended up ordering swatches first, just to make sure the color was perfect in person. And it was! They arrived super fast, and the color was this beautiful, rich terracotta that was exactly what I had been picturing.
In the end, I feel like we nailed it. We found these gorgeous terracotta dresses that didn’t completely break the bank, and my bridesmaids are actually excited to wear them. I can’t wait to see it all come together on the big day. It’s gonna be so dreamy! The wedding plan is rolling now!
