Okay, so I wanted to share my little adventure on finding the perfect teal blue bridesmaid dresses for my sister’s wedding. She’s getting married next summer, and we started planning early, which, let me tell you, was a lifesaver.
Color Picking
First off, picking the color was a bit of a journey. We knew we wanted something blue, but there are, like, a million shades of blue! We were looking at everything from baby blue to navy, but nothing felt quite right. Then, my sister stumbled upon this gorgeous teal color. It was love at first sight! It’s this beautiful mix of blue and green that just screams elegance and fun at the same time. It’s a great color to make a statement.
Style Searching
Once we had the color down, the next big step was finding the right style. This was tricky because I have five bridesmaids, and they all have different body types and style preferences. I wanted everyone to feel comfortable and beautiful, so I decided to go with the mix-and-match trend. It’s super popular right now, and it allows each bridesmaid to pick a style that suits them best, while still looking cohesive as a group. And I asked them to give me their ideas.
Fabric Choosing
Next up, fabric. Since the wedding is in the summer, I wanted something light and airy. We looked at a bunch of options, but chiffon was the clear winner. It’s flowy, it photographs well, and it’s super comfortable, which is a big deal when you’re going to be wearing it all day. One of my bridesmaids is sensitive to certain fabrics, so I made sure to check if chiffon would work for her, and luckily, it did!
Shop Hunting
Now, where to buy these dresses? I started by looking online, but honestly, it was overwhelming. There are so many stores, and it’s hard to tell the quality from pictures. So, I decided to hit up some local bridal boutiques. It was a fun day of trying on different styles and fabrics, and I even got some great tips from the shop assistants. Plus, it was nice to see the colors and feel the fabrics in person. I spent lots of time in searching.
Ordering
- After a lot of back and forth, I finally found the perfect dresses. Some are from one store, and some are from another, but they all complement each other beautifully. I placed the orders and crossed my fingers that everything would turn out okay.
- When the dresses arrived, I had each bridesmaid try theirs on. We had a little fitting party, which was so much fun. A couple of the dresses needed minor alterations, but overall, they fit pretty well. It was such a relief to see them all together and looking stunning.
I can’t wait to see my bridesmaids all dolled up on the big day. I know they’re going to look amazing, and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it to see my sister’s wedding vision come to life. If you’re planning a wedding, my biggest advice is to start early and be prepared for a bit of a rollercoaster. But in the end, it’s all about making those special memories!
