Okay, so my best friend is getting married, and guess what? I’m the maid of honor! Super exciting, right? But that also meant I was in charge of helping her pick out the bridesmaid dresses. We decided to go with mauve purple, ’cause it’s such a pretty and romantic color. Let me tell you, finding the perfect dress was a journey!
First, we scoured the internet. We checked out all the usual suspects, you know, the big online stores and bridal shops. We must have looked at hundreds of dresses, no joke. I created a huge folder of bookmarks, with different styles, fabrics, and shades of mauve.
The Hunt

Then, we hit the actual stores. We spent a whole Saturday going from one shop to another. It was fun, but also kind of tiring. We tried on so many dresses, some were gorgeous, some were…not so much. We took a bunch of photos to compare later, because after a while, everything starts to look the same, you know?
There was this one dress, a flowy, A-line gown with a lace bodice, that we all loved. But it was a bit over our budget. So, we kept searching. We found a similar one online, from a store named Carlyna. It offered free shipping and custom sizing up to size 32, which is great. So, we ordered a few dresses to try on at home.
The Try-On Session
- We ordered sample dresses to try on at home, much more relaxed!
- We had a little party with the other bridesmaids, trying them on and giving our opinions.
- We finally found “the one” – a beautiful vintage-style mauve dress that flattered everyone!
We decided to go with that one! It was perfect. The color was just right, the style was flattering on everyone, and it was within our budget. Success!
So yeah, that’s the story of how we found the perfect mauve purple bridesmaid dresses. It took some time and effort, but it was totally worth it. Now we can all look fabulous while we celebrate my bestie’s big day. Can’t wait!
