Okay, so today was a big day – my best friend Sarah’s wedding! And you know what that means, right? It was time to get all dolled up, not just for the ceremony, but for the whole getting ready part too. We wanted to look cute in those “getting ready” photos, you know?
First things first, we all decided to wear these matching robes. Not just any robes, though. We found these super soft, silky ones. They were so comfy! Putting them on instantly made it feel like a special day.
- We started by just hanging out in our robes, chatting and getting excited.
- Then, the hair and makeup people arrived. That’s when the real transformation began!
- We sat down one by one, getting our hair curled and pinned, and our makeup done just right.
- I helped Sarah with her robe, making sure it looked perfect in all the pictures.
Feeling Good, Looking Good
It’s important to wear something that’s not too tight or fussy when you’re getting your hair and makeup done. You don’t want buttons or drawstrings messing things up. We definitely nailed that part with our loose-fitting robes. And since Sarah’s wedding dress was pretty covered up, we didn’t have to worry too much about anything showing that shouldn’t.
There was this one moment when Sarah’s mom came in, all teary-eyed. She saw Sarah in her robe, with her hair half done, and she just started crying happy tears. It was so sweet! We all hugged and took a bunch of pictures together. That’s a memory I’ll always cherish.
We spent about four or five hours getting ready. It sounds like a long time, but it honestly flew by! We were all so busy laughing, talking, and getting pampered. Plus, we made sure to take lots of breaks for snacks and drinks. Gotta keep that energy up, right?
By the time we were all done, we looked and felt amazing. The getting-ready part was such a fun and special time, and I’m so glad we put some thought into what we wore. Those photos are going to be awesome!
Oh, and a little side note – the groom, Tom, didn’t see Sarah’s dress until she walked down the aisle. It was a total surprise, and his reaction was priceless! But that’s a story for another day. Today was all about the bride getting ready, and it was perfect.
