She was also lookin’ at different styles, you know? Some with one shoulder, some with no shoulders, some long, some short. It’s a whole thing, I tell ya. She said somethin’ about “ethereal garden” and “dreamy romantic” styles, I just nodded my head and pretended I knew what she was talkin’ about.
Coordinating the dresses, that was another headache. My granddaughter, she wanted all the girls to look kinda similar, but not exactly the same. So, she picked a color, and then let the girls pick their own style. That seemed to work out pretty good. They all ended up lookin’ nice, not like a bunch of mismatched socks, you know?
And let me tell you, findin’ the right size, that’s a whole ‘nother story. These girls, they come in all shapes and sizes. My granddaughter, she was stressed, tryin’ to make sure everyone had a dress that fit just right. But she figured it out, thank goodness.
At the end of the day, it all worked out. The girls looked beautiful, the weddin’ was lovely, and everyone had a good time. And them sparkly dresses bridesmaid, well, they sure did add a little somethin’ special. Made the whole thing feel like a fairy tale, almost. Even this old woman got a little teary-eyed, seein’ my granddaughter so happy.
