Hey everyone, it’s your girl back again with another one of my little project diaries. So, my son’s getting hitched – can you believe it? Time really flies, huh? Anyway, I needed a dress for the big day, and I decided to go with emerald green. Why? Well, I just love how regal and elegant it looks, and it complements my skin tone perfectly.
First things first, I hit up the internet to get some inspiration. I typed “emerald green mother of the groom dresses” into the search bar and, boy, did I get a ton of options! There were so many different styles and designs, it was a little overwhelming at first. I started browsing through the images, saving the ones that caught my eye. I made a little mood board on Pinterest to keep track of everything.
After a few days of online window shopping, I decided to hit up some local stores. I visited a few department stores. Macy’s had a decent selection, and I tried on a couple of dresses, but nothing really clicked.
Then, I remembered about this cute little boutique downtown that my friend told me about. I drove over there, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer! They had a whole section dedicated to mother of the bride and groom dresses, and there were so many beautiful emerald green options. It seems to be a popular color, not a rule! I spent a good hour trying on different dresses, twirling around in front of the mirror, and getting the opinions of the lovely saleswoman.
Finally, I found the one. It was a gorgeous, floor-length emerald green gown with delicate lace detailing on the sleeves and a flattering A-line silhouette. It fit like a glove and made me feel like a million bucks. I knew it was the perfect dress the moment I put it on.
- Found the Dress: It’s an A-line, floor-length gown with lace detailing. It feels amazing!
- Color Choice: Emerald green – it’s a color that always makes me feel confident.
- Shopping Experience: Tried a few places, but a local boutique had the best selection.
I ended up buying the dress on the spot, along with some matching shoes and a cute little clutch. I also scheduled an appointment for alterations, just to make sure everything was perfect. I’m so excited to wear this dress to my son’s wedding. I think it’s going to be a day to remember!
Feeling Confident
I’m really happy with my choice. It’s not about following strict rules. I think every mom should choose a dress that makes them feel beautiful and confident. For me, that’s this emerald green number. I can’t wait to celebrate with my son and his soon-to-be spouse!
