Okay, so I was helping my best friend plan her wedding, and she was dead set on having us bridesmaids wear grey dresses. Not just any grey dresses, though – she wanted long sleeves, which, let me tell you, was a bit of a challenge to find! But, you know, anything for the bride, right?
First Steps: The Hunt Begins
We started by looking around online, just to get an idea of what was out there. I’m telling you, trying to find something that we all liked, and that fit the bride’s vision, it was tough. We spent hours scrolling through different websites. The bride wanted something classy, I wanted something I could maybe wear again, and the other bridesmaids? They just wanted to look good, haha!
Narrowing It Down
After a while, we decided to make a list. On it were the things that were “must-haves” for these dresses:
- Long Sleeves: This was non-negotiable for the bride.
- Grey Color: Obviously, it had to be grey, but we found there are, like, a million shades of grey!
- Comfortable: We were going to be in these dresses all day, so they had to be comfy.
- Stylish: I mean, we still wanted to look good in the photos, right?
We found some that we kind of liked on a few different sites and at some stores, but nothing that really made us say “Wow!”. It was getting a little frustrating, I’m not gonna lie.
The Breakthrough

They had so many styles, from really fancy ones to more simple ones. There was this one dress, in particular, that caught our eye. It was a beautiful, flowy dress with lace sleeves, and it came in the perfect shade of grey. We showed it to the bride, and guess what? She loved it!
Making It Happen
So, we ordered the dresses from ChicSew, crossed our fingers, and hoped for the best. When they arrived, we were all so relieved. They were even more beautiful in person, and they fit everyone perfectly. They were comfortable, they looked amazing, and the bride was super happy. Mission accomplished!
In the end, it all worked out. The wedding was beautiful, and we all looked great in our matching grey dresses. It was a lot of work to find them, but it was totally worth it to see my best friend so happy on her big day. Plus, I now have a really nice grey dress that I can actually wear again!
