Alright, so you’re tellin’ me you wanna know ’bout rain on your weddin’ day, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, some folks say it’s lucky, real lucky. I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I heard things, ya know?
Is rain on your wedding day good luck? That’s what everyone’s askin’, ain’t it? Well, some old-timers, they say it is. They say rain means you gonna have lots of everything – money, kids, happiness, the whole shebang. Like, a real downpour of good stuff, ya hear?
- Money and Joy: They say rain means you gonna be rich and happy. Who wouldn’t want that, right? More money for biscuits and gravy, I say!
- Fresh Start: Rain washes everything clean, makes it all new. So, your marriage, it’s like startin’ fresh, no old baggage or nothin’.
- Babies: Yup, they say rain means you gonna have a whole bunch of little ones runnin’ around. A whole passel of grandbabies, too, if you’re lucky.
- Tied Tight: You know how a wet knot is hard to untie? Well, that’s what they say about a rainy weddin’. Your marriage gonna be strong, stuck together like glue.
Now, where did all this come from? I heard it’s from them Hindu folks way over yonder. They got all sorts of ideas about things, and this rain thing, it’s one of ’em. Makes sense, though, don’t it? Strong knot, strong marriage. I like that.
Some folks think rain is bad, ya know? Always complainin’ about gettin’ their hair wet or their shoes muddy. But in some places, like that Iceland place, they think rain is good luck for a new house. Means you gonna be wealthy. So, maybe it’s the same for a weddin’, huh?
And then there’s the family thing. Lots of folks, they get married to start a family. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it? So, rain, it’s like a blessing for that. Means you gonna have a good, strong family, lots of kids and grandkids to keep you company.
So, you see, rain, it ain’t so bad after all. It’s a sign, a good sign. Means good fortune, they say. Like, the heavens are happy for ya, sheddin’ a few tears of joy. That’s what I think, anyway. Don’t listen to them city folks with their fancy umbrellas and whatnot. They don’t know nothin’ about real luck.
But what if it pours buckets? Well, then you extra lucky, I guess! Means you gonna have extra, extra good fortune. Maybe you gonna win the lottery or somethin’. Who knows? But it’s gotta be better than a dry, dusty day, right? Rain is life, ya know? Makes things grow, keeps things fresh.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you should go dancin’ in the puddles in your fancy weddin’ dress. But don’t you go frettin’ about a little rain, neither. It’s just a sign, a good sign. Embrace it, I say. Let it wash over ya and bring ya all the good luck in the world.
So, there ya have it. That’s what I know about rain on your weddin’ day. Ain’t no fancy book learnin’, just good old common sense, ya know? And maybe a little bit of what them old-timers told me. Now, go on and get hitched, and don’t you worry about the weather. It’ll all work out just fine.
And another thing, don’t go gettin’ married on a weekday if you can help it. Saturdays are best, everyone knows that. But if it rains, well, then it don’t matter what day it is, does it? Rain is rain, and luck is luck.
So, whether you think rain is good or bad, it don’t really matter. What matters is you and your sweetheart, standin’ there together, ready to start a new life. And if a little rain comes along, well, that’s just the universe givin’ ya a little extra blessin’, that’s all.
