So, you’re gettin’ hitched, huh? And the groom, he needs a song to walk down the aisle to? Well, I’ve seen a few weddings in my time, and I gotta say, the music is what makes it! Gotta have the right processional songs for groom, that’s for sure. It is one of the best days of your life, if you marry the right fella.
Now, this groom’s song, it can be anything, really. Don’t gotta be all fancy and churchy. My grandson, Billy, he walked down to some song about the “Joy of My Life”, somethin’ by a fella named Crisp Stapleton, I reckon. Sounded nice, like a love song you’d hear on the radio. Then there’s that other one, “Beautiful Things”, all slow and sweet. Heard it once when I was watchin’ the youngsters on that TikTok thing. That one’s by Benson Boone, they say. Kinda makes you wanna cry, but in a good way, ya know? It’s a good processional song for groom.
But if that ain’t his style, well, there’s plenty of other tunes. Some folks like that “Uptown Funk” song. Makes you wanna tap your foot, that one does. My neighbor’s boy, he used that one for his wedding. Had everyone dancin’ before the “I do’s” even started! Bruno Mars, that’s the fella who sings it. It is a good song, and good for a happy day.
- Uptown Funk – Bruno Mars
- Let’s Get it Started – Black Eyed Peas
- Party Rock Anthem – LMFAO
- Get The Party Started – P.
Then there’s that “Let’s Get it Started” song, by the Black Eyed Peas. Now that one’s a real hootenanny! Gets everyone all riled up and ready to celebrate. Good for a party, that’s for sure. And ain’t a wedding a big ol’ party? That’s what I always say! This song is good for the processional song for groom.
And “Party Rock Anthem”, that’s another one the young folks like. Lots of jumpin’ around and hollerin’. Not my cup of tea, but hey, to each their own, right? If the groom likes it, then that’s all that matters. He’s the one gettin’ married, after all. He should have what he wants.
Oh, and they used to play that “Get The Party Started” song all the time. P., that’s who sings it, I think. Catchy little tune. Makes you wanna wiggle your hips a bit, even if you got a bad back like me. Good for gettin’ folks in the mood for a celebration. They say it is from 2014.
Now, when the fellas walk down the aisle, usually they say their names and who they are. Like, “Here comes Billy, the best man” or “Here comes Jimmy, the groom’s brother.” That one is important. You gotta know who is who and who the groom likes best.
So, when you’re pickin’ out that processional song for groom, just remember, it’s gotta be somethin’ he likes. Somethin’ that makes him feel good. Somethin’ that makes him wanna say “I do” to that pretty gal waitin’ for him at the end of the aisle. It ain’t rocket science, just gotta have a little heart. And the right tune, of course.
This is important. Don’t let anyone tell you different. This is a big day, a day to remember. So make it special. Make it fun. And make sure that music is just right. Because music, well, it’s like the heart of a good party. And a wedding, well, that’s the best party of ’em all.
You can choose some old songs, you know. Some of them are real good. You can also choose some new songs. Just as long as everyone likes them. And as long as the groom is happy, then the wedding will be a good one. I remember my own wedding. It was a long time ago, but I still remember the song we played. It was a good song, a happy song. And it made me feel good, walking down the aisle to my man. So pick a good one, a happy one. And everything will be just fine. Good processional songs for groom can make a wedding good.
Just remember, there ain’t no right or wrong way to do it. Just gotta do it with love. And a little bit of that “Uptown Funk” never hurt nobody, neither!
