Okay, so today I messed around with some groom wedding photos. First thing I did was to dig out my old camera. It’s a bit dusty, but it still works like a charm.
I called up my buddy, John, and asked if he’d be my model. Lucky for me, he’s getting married soon, so he was all in. We met up at his place, and man, he had this classic black suit that was just perfect. We started snapping pics right in his living room. I made him stand near the window because, you know, natural light is the best. I took a bunch of shots, trying to get his good side. I think he was a little nervous at first, but he loosened up after a while.
Playing With Angles
- Getting Creative: Then I thought, let’s play around with angles a bit.
- Low Angle: I got down low and shot upwards to make him look more imposing.
- High Angle: After that, I stood on a chair and shot downwards, which gave a more intimate vibe.
- Side Profile: I also took some side profile shots; those turned out pretty cool, very classic.
After we were done indoors, we headed out to the park. The greenery was a nice backdrop. I had him lean against a tree, walk along a path, and even sit on a bench. I kept clicking away, trying to capture different moods and poses. The sun was starting to set, which gave us that golden hour glow. Those shots were some of my favorites.
Post-Processing Fun
- Back Home: Once I got back home, I uploaded all the photos to my computer.
- Editing Software: I used some basic editing software to adjust the lighting and colors.
- Watermarking: I also added a little watermark with my name on it, just for a professional touch.
- Enhancing Details: Some photos needed a bit of cropping and straightening, but overall, they looked great.
I sent a few samples to John, and he loved them. Said he wants me to shoot his actual wedding now! I’m pretty stoked about that. I learned a lot from this little practice session. It was a good reminder of how much I enjoy photography and capturing special moments. It felt good to get some great shots, and the best part is, I made my friend happy. Mission accomplished!
Overall, it was a fun day. I got to dust off my camera, hang out with a friend, and take some awesome photos. I’m thinking of doing more of these practice shoots. Maybe next time, I’ll try a different theme or setting. There’s always something new to learn and explore in photography, and I’m here for it.
