Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with my nails a lot lately, trying to find that perfect shade for, like, every occasion. You know how it is, gotta have options! Today, I decided to try out this “Kiss the Bride” nail polish I saw online, and I just had to share my whole experience with you guys.
First off, I started by prepping my nails. I pushed back my cuticles, filed them into a nice, neat shape. After that, I applied a base coat. I heard somewhere that it takes around 1-2 hours for nail polish to fully dry. I ain’t got time for that, so I used Orly’s Ridge Filler Base coat, hoping it would speed things up.
Then came the fun part – applying the “Kiss the Bride” polish! The color in the bottle looked like this dreamy, pearly baby pink, which I was totally vibing with. I carefully painted each nail, making sure to get even coverage. It went on super smooth, which was a plus. But when it applied it’s very sheer, almost nude. It looks very natural, I like it. I guess it’s one of those sheer polishes that’s meant to be subtle. Some people online said it’s a good base for a French tip, so maybe I’ll try that next time.
- Color: Light pink crelly (sheer)
- Application: Smooth and easy
- Dry time: Seemed pretty quick with the fast-drying top coat.
I was a little bummed that the color wasn’t as opaque as I expected, but it did give my nails this really pretty, natural-looking sheen. It’s definitely more of a “your nails but better” kind of look. I added a top coat for extra shine and to make it last longer. Orly’s In a Snap top coat, which is supposed to dry super fast. And you know what? It actually did! My nails were dry to the touch in, like, minutes. Score!
My final thoughts
Overall, I’m pretty happy with how my nails turned out. I continued to test my new nourishing base and top coat polishes. “Kiss the Bride” might not be the bold statement I sometimes go for, but it’s a great everyday color that makes my nails look polished and put-together. It’s perfect for those days when you want something simple and elegant. Plus, the whole process was way quicker than I thought it would be, thanks to those fast-drying products. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re into sheer, natural-looking polishes!
So yeah, that’s my little nail polish adventure for today. I just think warm skin tones tend to suit earthy tones, vibrant reds, and golden hues, while cool skin tones can rock blues, purples, and icy whites. Hope you guys enjoyed it, and let me know if you’ve tried “Kiss the Bride” or any other nail polishes I should check out!
