Well, so you wanna ask the fellas to be your groomsmen, huh? Ain’t gotta be all fancy, but it’s nice to make it special. Like, ya know, show ’em they’re important. I seen some folks do these box things. Yeah, a box! Put some stuff in it, ya know, things they like. Like, uh, maybe some of them little bottles of booze? Or, like, them cigars. If they’re into that.
And write ’em a little note. Don’t gotta be long or nothin’. Just tell ’em you’d be real happy if they’d stand up there with ya when you get hitched. Tell ’em they’re your best buds. That kinda stuff. Makes ’em feel good, ya know?
What kinda stuff goes in the box?
- Booze, like I said. Little airplane bottles or somethin’.
- Cigars. If they smoke ’em.
- Maybe some kinda snacks. Like jerky. Guys like jerky.
- Socks. Funny ones, maybe. Or nice ones, if they’re fancy fellas.
- Pocket knife. Handy.
You can get them boxes online, I think. Or maybe at one of them craft stores. Don’t gotta be expensive. Just somethin’ nice to put it all in. Make it look purty.
Now, you don’t gotta do a box. Just an idea. You could just ask ’em straight up. Or take ’em out for a beer. But the box thing, it’s kinda fun. Makes it special. Shows you put in some effort. Like you care. And fellas like to feel appreciated, ya know?
Don’t forget the cards! Write somethin’ from the heart. Tell ’em why you want them there. Inside jokes are good. Just make it personal. They’ll appreciate it.
And don’t wait ’til the last minute. Give ’em some time to think about it. And, you know, make sure they can actually make it to the wedding. Don’t wanna ask someone who’s got somethin’ else going on that day. That’d be a bummer.
It’s a big day for ya, gettin’ married. And it’s nice to have your friends there with ya. So make sure you ask ’em right. Show ’em how much they mean to ya. That box thing is a good way to do it. But, ya know, whatever feels right. Just make it special. They’ll remember it.
