Okay, so I saw this cool thing online called “half groom half bride” and I was like, I gotta try that! I mean, the idea of mixing two looks into one? Sign me up!
First, I gathered all my stuff. For the bride side, I dug out an old white dress I had, some sparkly jewelry, and a veil I borrowed from a friend. For the groom side, I raided my brother’s closet for a suit jacket, a tie, and some dress pants. I also grabbed some makeup and hair stuff.
Next, I started with the makeup. I divided my face right down the middle with some tape. On the bride side, I went for a soft, romantic look. I did some foundation, a bit of blush, and a light pink lipstick. And for the eyes, I used some neutral eyeshadows and put on some mascara. On the groom side, I kept it simple. I just used a little concealer and groomed my eyebrow a bit.
Then came the hair. This was a bit tricky. On the bride side, I curled my hair and pinned it up in a loose updo. I even added the veil for that extra bridal touch. On the groom side, I slicked my hair back with some gel to make it look neat and tidy.
Now for the outfit. I put on the white dress and carefully cut it down the middle. Then I sewed on one half of the suit jacket and dress pants. It was a bit of a challenge, but I managed to get it all together. I even added some accessories – a sparkly necklace on the bride side and a tie on the groom side.
The Big Reveal
- I took off the tape and stepped back to look at myself in the mirror.
- It was so cool!
- One side all elegant and bridal, the other side sharp and groom-like.
- I took a bunch of pictures, trying out different poses.
Honestly, this was way more fun than I expected. It’s not every day you get to be a bride and a groom at the same time! This “half groom half bride” thing is definitely something I’d recommend trying if you’re into a little creative fun. Go give it a shot!
