OK, so, I’ve been messing around with this “shoe game” thing for weddings. It’s like, a super popular thing to do at receptions, and I wanted to make it extra fun. Basically, the couple sits back-to-back, and they each hold one of their own shoes and one of their partner’s. Then, someone asks them questions about their relationship, and they raise the shoe of the person who they think the answer applies to. Sounds simple, right? But the questions can make or break the game.
I started by scouring the internet for some ideas. I found tons of lists, but a lot of them were pretty boring, you know? Like, “Who said I love you first?” or “Who’s the better cook?” Been there, done that. I wanted questions that would really get people laughing and maybe even learn some quirky stuff about the couple.
So, I started brainstorming. I thought about all the funny little things that happen in relationships. Like, who’s more likely to leave their dirty socks on the floor? Who hogs the blankets at night? Stuff like that. I jotted down every single idea that popped into my head, no matter how silly it seemed.
Then, I started testing them out. I roped in some of my friends who are getting married soon, and we had a little trial run. It was a blast! Some questions were total duds, but others had us all in stitches. I made notes on which ones worked and which ones didn’t, and I tweaked them based on their reactions.
I also started playing around with the “who” questions, I decided to start with some basic funny questions. Like:
- Who first admitted to having a crush on the other?
- Who is more likely to get a speeding ticket?
- Who is the bigger baby when they’re sick?
- Who spends more money?
After tons of trial and error, I finally came up with a list of questions that I think are pretty darn good. I organized them into categories, like “Funny,” “Slightly Risky,” and “Sweet.” That way, people can tailor the game to the couple’s personality. I even added some tips on how to deliver the questions for maximum comedic effect, because let’s be real, the delivery is key.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into the world of the wedding shoe game. It was way more work than I expected, but I think I’ve created something really special. I’m excited to share it with the world and hopefully make a bunch of weddings a little bit more memorable. These questions will have your guests cracking up, I bet my life on it. I really hope these questions can bring happiness to other people.
