Okay, so I had this whole wedding thing coming up, and one of the biggest headaches? Bridesmaid dresses. We decided to go with teal because, you know, it’s kind of unique and looks good on everyone. But let me tell you, finding the right teal dresses was a journey!
First, I hit up all the local bridal shops. I dragged my bridesmaids all over town, trying on dress after dress. We saw a few that were okay, but nothing really popped. Either the color was off, more like a weird green than a true teal, or the styles were just not what we were looking for. We wanted something that was flowy and not too formal.
After that, I dove into the online world. Scrolled through a million websites, reading reviews, and comparing prices. I ordered a few swatches to make sure the color was right. You wouldn’t believe how different “teal” can look on a computer screen!
Finding the one
Then, I stumbled upon this one website, and bam! They had a huge selection of teal dresses in all kinds of styles, short, long, you name it. Plus, they had petite and plus sizes, which was great because my bridesmaids are all different shapes and sizes. I ordered a few different styles for the girls to try on at home. We made a whole day of it, snacks, music, the whole deal. It was so much fun!
When the dresses arrived, we were all so excited! We tried them on, and they were perfect! The color was this gorgeous blue-green, exactly what I had imagined. And the styles were amazing, everyone found something they loved and felt comfortable in.
- We ended up going with a mix of different styles, but all in the same beautiful teal fabric.
- Some chose long and flowy, others opted for shorter and more playful.
- It all came together perfectly.
Finding the right bridesmaid dresses was definitely a process, but it was so worth it in the end. Seeing my girls all happy and confident in their dresses on my wedding day was the best feeling ever. And the pictures? Stunning! Everyone looked amazing, and the teal really made the whole bridal party stand out. It was like blue and green had a baby and that baby decided to attend my wedding party.
I also tried to find some colors that go with it. My friends suggested burgundy, gold, evergreen, and eggplant. All of them worked pretty well. Oh, one of my bridesmaids even found a video of a consultant helping a bride-to-be find eight dresses. I guess it was not an easy task. I’m so glad that I have found my dresses.
