Oh, honey, you’re getting married? That’s just wonderful! Bless your heart. Now, you gotta have some good music for that first dance. It’s a big deal, you know? Gotta make it special. Me and your grandpa, bless his soul, we danced to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” That was a good one. Everybody knew it. But these days got all kind of music. I don’t know those modern song, but I know good music when I hear it.
You need some best bride and groom dance songs, huh? Well, there’s a whole heap of ’em out there. Just gotta find the ones that fit you two lovebirds. You want something sweet, something that makes you wanna hold each other close. That first dance, it’s like the start of your whole life together. Gotta start it off right.
These days all kind of music. Fast song, slow song. I don’t know them all. But I hear some pretty ones sometimes, makes me think of your grandpa. Make your heart full. Those are good for wedding dance.
I heard some folks talk about wedding dance songs. They say you gotta have a mix. Some fast ones to get folks moving, some slow ones for the lovey-dovey stuff. Makes sense, I reckon. You don’t want everyone falling asleep, but you don’t want ’em all jumpin’ around like jackrabbits neither. You know, one slow for every four, five fast? Something like that.
- Fast songs get people moving, they say.
- Slow songs are for, you know, romance.
- Gotta have both, I guess.
That first dance, though, that’s special. I remember ours like it was yesterday. Your grandpa, he wasn’t much of a dancer, but he held me tight, and that’s all that mattered. I think everyone like that song. Good song is important.
They got all these fancy names for songs now. “Drops of Jupiter,” I heard someone say. Sounds like somethin’ from outer space, don’t it? But I guess if it makes you feel good, that’s what matters. And “Shut Up and Dance”? Well, that’s just rude, ain’t it? But young folks like it, I suppose. Kids these days!
Some other songs I heard, like “I Want You to Know,” that’s kinda sweet, I guess. And then there’s “Turn Down for What,” I don’t even know what that means. My old ears can’t hear those song clear. But they’re popular wedding songs, I suppose. And some old ones too, like “Push It,” now that one I remember. We used to dance to that at the sock hops, your grandpa and me. Good times.
You want a good bride and groom dance, you gotta pick something that means something to you two. Don’t just go with what everyone else is doing. It’s your day, your dance, your love story. Make it your own.
- Pick a song you both like, that’s important.
- Don’t worry about what everyone else thinks.
- It’s your special day, remember that.
I remember one time, this young couple, they danced to a song about a train, I think it was. “Train,” maybe that was the name of the band, not the song? I don’t know. But it was different, and they loved it. That’s all that counts. Unique wedding dance songs, they call ’em.
These days got song for everything. Song for when you walk in, song for when you walk out. So many song! We didn’t have all that back in my day. But I guess it’s nice to have choices. As long as you happy, that’s good.
You know what song is good? That song, “One More Time.” That’s a good one for dance. Everyone know that one. I like that song.
Just remember, honey, it ain’t about the fanciest song or the biggest steps. It’s about the love. You hold each other close, look into each other’s eyes, and just feel the music. That’s what makes a good wedding dance. And don’t forget to smile! It’s your wedding day! Be happy!
Me and your grandpa, we didn’t have no fancy wedding. But we had love, and we had our song. And that’s all we needed. You find your song, honey, and you hold onto it tight. And hold onto each other even tighter. That’s the secret to a happy life, you know. Love and a good song. That’s all you need. That’s how you make best wedding dance. Wish your grandpa was here. He would say same thing.
