Alright, so I’ve been planning this whole wedding thing, and one of the biggest deals is, of course, asking your besties to be your bridesmaids. I wanted to do something special, not just a text or a call, you know? That’s when I stumbled upon the idea of making “Will You Be My Bridesmaid” cards. But not just any cards, I wanted them to be unique, and let’s be real, I’m on a budget here. So, printable cards it was!
First things first, I had to find the right design. I spent a good chunk of time just scrolling through images and templates. I wanted something that felt personal and matched the whole vibe of our wedding. After looking at a zillion different designs, I finally found a few that I really liked.
Next up, I had to make sure I had the stuff to actually print these bad boys. I checked my printer’s ink levels – crisis averted, we were good to go. Then, I grabbed some nice cardstock paper from my craft stash. I wanted something that felt substantial, not that flimsy stuff.
Printing them out was a bit of a trial-and-error process. I had to adjust the settings on my printer a few times to make sure everything lined up correctly and the colors looked right. It took a few tries, but eventually, I had a set of cards that looked pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.
After they were printed, I had to cut them out. I used a paper cutter to make sure the edges were straight and clean. This took a bit of patience, but it was worth it. The cards looked so much more professional with those clean cuts.
But I didn’t stop there. I wanted to add a little something extra to make them even more special. I decided to use some leftover ribbon I had to tie a little bow around each card. It was a small touch, but it made a big difference. The cards looked so much cuter and more put together.
Finally, I wrote a little personal note on the back of each card. I told each of my friends how much they meant to me and why I wanted them to be part of my special day. This was probably the most important part of the whole process. A handwritten note just hits different, you know?
I also got some small gift boxes and filled them with some goodies for each of my friends, a cute candle, bath bomb, and champagne bottle. I placed the cards in the boxes with these gifts. It was so fun to see my friends’ faces when they opened them. They loved the cards, and the gifts were a nice little bonus. I’m so glad I decided to make these cards. It was a fun project, and it made asking my friends to be my bridesmaids even more memorable.
And that’s that! My bridesmaids all said yes, and I’ve got these beautiful, handmade cards as a keepsake of this special time. It was totally worth the effort, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet and personal way to pop the bridesmaid question.
