So, today I’m gonna tell you about making a corsage for a bride. It was kinda tricky, but hey, I did it!
First off, I had to figure out what the bride likes. I mean, you can’t just pick any flower, right? So I asked her friend. Turns out, she’s into roses, white ones. Good to know!
Then, I went to a flower shop to get some supplies. I got some pretty white roses, some greenery, and some ribbon. Oh, and I also got some wire and floral tape, ’cause you need those to put everything together. It’s like the glue of the flower world, you know?
Here’s what I used:
- White roses
- Greenery (like leaves and stuff)
- Ribbon
- Floral wire
- Floral tape
Once I had all my stuff, I started putting the corsage together. First, I took a few roses and trimmed the stems. Then, I wrapped them together with the wire, making sure they were nice and secure. It’s like making a mini bouquet, but way smaller.
Making the corsage:
After that, I added some greenery around the roses. This made it look fuller and more natural. I wrapped the stems of the greenery with the roses, using more wire. Teamwork makes the dream work, even for flowers.
Next, I took the ribbon and made a bow. I attached the bow to the base of the flowers with some more wire. Gotta make it look fancy, right?
Finally, I wrapped the whole stem with floral tape. This covered up the wire and made it look all neat and tidy. Plus, it helps keep everything in place. Safety first, even for corsages.
And that’s it! That’s how I made a corsage for a bride. It took some time and patience, but it was totally worth it. The bride loved it, and that’s all that matters. It only lasted for like two days but it was great while it lasted.
It was a fun little project, and I’m glad I got to share it with you all. Maybe I’ll try making a boutonniere next time, who knows! They say you buy it for your partner, which is not a bad idea, but I will do it just for fun.
One more thing, I heard that wrist corsages are popular, I made a regular one, but I guess I could try my hand at that as well. There’s always something new to learn!
