Alright, let’s talk about them bridesmaid flowers, the green ones, you know, the bridesmaid bouquet green. My grand daughter, she got hitched last summer, and lemme tell ya, the flowers, they were somethin’ else. Not like them stuffy old roses your grandma used to carry. This here was green, real green, like the grass in spring, but, you know, prettier.
First off, why green? Well, my grand daughter, she said green means, uh, like, new beginnings and nature and stuff. I don’t know about all that fancy talk, but I gotta say, them green bouquets, they looked fresh, like they just came outta the garden. They didn’t wilt and droop like them other fancy flowers, no sirree. Them green bouquets held up good, even in the hot sun.
- One thing I noticed, them green bouquets, they weren’t all just one kinda green.
- Some had these little bitty flowers, real delicate, kinda like baby’s breath, but green. My grand daughter told me it was called somethin’ fancy, but I forgot.
- Then there were these bigger leaves, shiny and dark, mixed in. Made the whole thing pop, you know?
And get this, the bride’s bouquet, it had some of that same green in it too. Not a whole bunch, mind you, just a little here and there. Made everything look all, uh, what’s the word… cohesive? Yeah, that’s it. Like it all belonged together. Smart girl, that grand daughter of mine.
Now, some folks, they think everything gotta match, you know? Bridesmaid dresses gotta match the flowers, gotta match the tablecloths… Hogwash! My grand daughter, she had her girls wearin’ all different kinda dresses. Some blue, some yellow, some even had little flowers on ‘em. And them green bouquets? They looked good with every single one. See, green, it goes with just about anythin’. It’s like that one good pair of shoes you can wear with anythin’ in your closet.
And don’t you go thinkin’ green is boring, now. There’s all sorts of greens. You got your light greens, your dark greens, your greens with a little bit of yellow in ‘em, your greens with a little bit of blue. My grand daughter’s bouquets, they had a few different shades of green in ‘em. Made ‘em look more interestin’, you know? Not just one flat color.
Speaking of colors, I heard some folks sayin’ you gotta be careful with yellow and orange flowers. Said they don’t look good on everyone. And that’s true, I reckon. Some folks, they just ain’t made for yellow. Makes ‘em look kinda… sickly. But green? Green looks good on everyone. It’s a happy color, a healthy color. Makes you think of springtime and sunshine and all that good stuff.
And them bouquets, they weren’t just pretty, they were tough too. My grand daughter’s weddin’, it was outside, in the middle of July. Hotter than a pistol, let me tell ya. But them green bouquets, they didn’t bat an eye. Didn’t wilt, didn’t droop, nothin’. They looked just as good at the end of the night as they did at the beginnin’. Can’t say that for them fancy roses, now, can ya?
So, if you’re plannin’ a weddin’, or anythin’ where you need flowers, don’t go overlookin’ green. It’s a good color, a strong color, a color that goes with just about anythin’. And if you want them bridesmaids to look their best, well, a green bouquet is the way to go. Trust me on this one. I may be just an old woman, but I know a thing or two about flowers…and weddin’s for that matter. My grand daughter’s weddin’ was the prettiest I ever did see, and a big part of that was them beautiful, green bridesmaid bouquets.
