This here yellow, it’s a real sunny color, you know? Like them sunflowers my neighbor used to grow, tall and bright. Makes you think of a warm summer day, don’t it? I reckon that’s why some folks like it for their weddings. Bridesmaid yellow wedding theme, they call it. Makes sense, I guess. Yellow is a happy color, and you want a wedding to be happy, right?
Now, I seen a lot of weddings in my time. Back in the day, everyone just wore their Sunday best. Didn’t matter the color so much. But these days, they got all these themes and colors. This yellow one, though, it’s got some pep.
If you’re gonna have a yellow wedding, you gotta have them girls, the bridesmaids, in yellow dresses, I reckon. It wouldn’t be much of a theme without that, would it? I seen some pictures, them girls all lined up in yellow. It’s a sight, I tell ya. Like a field of them yellow flowers. What are they called? Daffodils? Yeah, that’s it. Daffodils all in a row.
- Yellow dresses for the girls
- Yellow flowers all over
- Maybe some yellow ribbons too
And the flowers, gotta have yellow flowers. Sunflowers, them daffodils, maybe some of them little yellow ones that grow wild by the road. You could put ’em in jars, all pretty-like. Folks do that now, you know. Mason jars, they call ’em. We just used ’em for canning back in my day. But they look nice with flowers, I suppose.
You could even have yellow on the tables. Them little cloths, napkins, they call ’em. Yellow ones. And maybe tie some yellow ribbons around the chairs or something. I always liked ribbons. My mama used to put ’em in my hair when I was a little girl. Made me feel special. Yellow is a special color, it really is.
Now some folks, they say yellow is too bright. Too much yellow, maybe. Like staring at the sun too long. So they mix it with other colors. White, that’s a common one. Makes sense. White goes with everything. Like clouds in the sky. Yellow and white, like sunshine and clouds. That’s nice, ain’t it?
They also say light blue or that lavender color, you know, the pale purple. That goes good with yellow too, they say. Keeps the yellow from being too much, I guess. Calms it down a bit. They say, fuchsia and coral colors make the yellow pop. I don’t know about all that, but it sure sounds interesting.
Back in my day, we didn’t worry about colors so much. We were just happy to be gettin’ married. But I guess it’s nice to have things pretty. And yellow is pretty. Bridesmaid yellow wedding, it’s a good thing. A happy thing. And that’s what a wedding should be, right? Happy. Yellow means happy. And smart too, they say. Wisdom, that’s a big word, ain’t it? But it just means being smart, knowing things. Yellow means you’re smart. Good to have a smart bride, I always say.
I remember one wedding, the bride wore a yellow dress. Not just the bridesmaids, but the bride herself. Now that was something. She looked like a ray of sunshine walking down the aisle. Everyone was smiling. How could you not smile, seeing that? It was a good day. A happy day. Just like a wedding should be.
So, if you’re thinking about a yellow wedding theme, I say go for it. It’s a good color. A happy color. Makes you think of sunshine and flowers and all things good. And who wouldn’t want that for their wedding day? It’s your special day. Make it a yellow one. Make it a happy one. And be smart about it. Yellow means you’re smart, remember? And being smart is always a good thing, especially when you’re starting a new life together.
Bridesmaid yellow wedding, yeah, that’s got a nice ring to it. It means happy, it means smart, it means a good start. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it? A good start. That’s what I wish for all the young folks getting married these days. A good start, and a whole lot of happiness. Just like a field of them yellow daffodils, bright and sunny and full of life. Yep, that’s the ticket. A yellow wedding. A happy wedding.
Red dresses are nice too. That means love, you know. But yellow, yellow is special, it means joy. If you want a joyful wedding, then yellow is your color.
