Alright, so, I had this idea to write a letter to my best friend, who’s getting hitched soon. She asked me to be her bridesmaid, and, honestly, I was over the moon! So I thought, what better way to show her how much this means to me than to write her a heartfelt letter? I started racking my brain about what to say. I mean, this is my best friend we’re talking about! We’ve been through thick and thin together, and now she’s about to start this whole new chapter in her life.
I grabbed a pen and a nice piece of paper – you know, the fancy kind – and just started writing. I guess you could say I started with a bit of a brain dump. I wrote down all the things I felt: happy, excited, a little bit sad that things are going to change, but mostly just incredibly happy for her.
- First, I congratulated her, you know, the usual stuff. I told her how thrilled I was that she found the love of her life, and how excited I was to be a part of her big day.
- Then, I got a bit sentimental. I reminisced about some of our favorite memories together, the silly things we used to do, the heart-to-hearts we had late at night, all that jazz. I wanted her to know how much those moments meant to me.
- After that, I reassured her. I told her that even though things were going to change, our friendship wouldn’t. I promised her I’d always be there for her, no matter what. Marriage is a big deal, and I wanted her to know she could still count on me, that’s she got the full support of her best friend.
I also made sure to mention how amazing her soon-to-be husband is and how perfect they are together. I talked about how much I admire their relationship and how I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
It took me a few tries to get it just right. I read it over and over, made some changes, added a few things, took some things out. I wanted it to be perfect, just like her. It’s not every day your best friend gets married, right?
Finally, I folded the letter, put it in a pretty envelope, and sealed it. I can’t wait to give it to her on her wedding day. I know she’s going to love it, and I hope it’s something she’ll cherish forever. This whole process has been so much fun, and it’s really made me appreciate our friendship even more. I’m so lucky to have her in my life, and I can’t wait to stand by her side as she says “I do!”
