Okay, so my best friend is getting hitched, and guess what? She asked me to be a bridesmaid! I was over the moon, but then came the big question – the dress. We all know that bridesmaid dresses can be a bit of a gamble, but my friend, she’s got taste, and she set her sights on Vera Wang.
First things first, we scheduled an appointment at the Vera Wang boutique. Let me tell you, walking into that place felt like stepping into a bridal dream. All those gorgeous gowns, it was a bit overwhelming, but in a good way!
We met with a consultant who was super helpful. She asked about the wedding theme, the color palette, and what kind of style my friend was envisioning for us. We flipped through some lookbooks and pointed out a few designs that caught our eye. The consultant then pulled a few dresses for us to try on.
- The first dress I tried on was a classic A-line style. It was pretty, but it didn’t quite wow me.
- The second one was a bit more daring, with a lower neckline and a flowy skirt. It was beautiful, but maybe a little too much for a bridesmaid.
- Then, I slipped into the third dress, and guys, it was the one. It was a gorgeous blush pink, with delicate lace details and a flattering silhouette. It felt amazing on, and I knew instantly that this was it.
My friend loved it too, and so did the other bridesmaids. We all agreed that this dress was the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity. It was definitely a Vera Wang, but it didn’t overshadow the bride’s gown, which was obviously the most important thing.
The Fitting
After we chose the dress, we all got measured for alterations. The consultant explained that it’s normal for bridesmaid dresses to need a little tweaking here and there, to make sure they fit perfectly. We scheduled another appointment for a final fitting a few weeks before the wedding.
At the final fitting, we all tried on our dresses again, and they fit like a glove! The seamstress had done an amazing job. We were all so excited to wear these beautiful dresses on the big day.
