OK, so, I’ve got this whole thing going on, right? I gotta get this wedding dress sorted out, and not just any dress, a white one, obviously. Had this idea in my head for ages, you know? Something simple but, like, really classy. So first up, I hit up this place called Lulu’s. Heard they had loads of short white dresses. Browsed through their stuff, found a couple of cute ones, but nothing that really screamed “wedding” to me, just your standard kind of pretty white dresses. Nothing wrong with that, but not what I wanted.
Looking for something special
Then I thought, maybe I need to go more unique, you know? Started looking into vintage stuff. Found this site with all these vintage Victorian collar dresses. And let me tell you, some of them were gorgeous. Like, really beautiful, detailed work. But here’s the thing – I’m a bit bigger than your average gal, and most of these dresses, they’re made for someone, like, super tiny. Tried on a few, felt like I was gonna burst the seams. Plus, some of them were way too long. I mean, I want to look elegant, not like I’m drowning in fabric.

Trying on dresses
So, then I head over to Dillard’s, right? They’ve got a whole bunch of one-shoulder long dresses. Thought, maybe that’s the style for me? Tried a few on. Some were okay, fit alright, looked decent. But still, it wasn’t that “wow” moment, you know? Like, I want to walk down the aisle and have everyone, including me, just stunned by how good the dress looks. Not just, “Oh, that’s a nice dress.”
I kept trying stuff on, different styles, different cuts. None of it was quite right. Either they didn’t fit right, or they just didn’t have that special something. It’s like, you see these dresses, and they’re fine, but they don’t make you feel anything, you know? I want that feeling, that “this is it” feeling. And I just wasn’t getting it. But I kept at it. I knew the right dress was out there somewhere, it had to be. And I wasn’t about to give up until I found it. This whole process, it’s been a journey, but it’s my journey, and I’m gonna see it through to the end.
Finally, I found it! That one dress, the dress, I’m going to wear it to the wedding. I felt it is the one!
