Okay, so I’ve been diving into this whole wedding planning thing, and let me tell you, it’s a wild ride! We wanted something unique for our invitations, not just your usual flowery stuff. We were bouncing ideas around, and then it hit us – boarding pass wedding invitations! I mean, how cool is that?
I started by browsing some ideas online. There are tons of templates out there. You can find templates by searching “boarding pass wedding invitations”. But of course, we wanted ours to be extra special, so we decided to design them from scratch.
First, we picked a color scheme that matched our wedding theme. We went with a classic navy blue and gold, felt super classy, you know? Then, I fired up my design app. I’m not a pro designer, but I get by.
We modeled the layout after an actual boarding pass. We included all the usual wedding details like our names, the date, time, and venue, but we worded them like flight info. For example, “Flight No.” became our wedding date, and “Departure Time” was the ceremony time. It was so much fun to play around with!
Here’s how the details looked on our passes:
- Passenger: [Our Names]
- Flight No.: [Wedding Date]
- From: [Our Hometowns]
- To: [Wedding Venue]
- Departure Time: [Ceremony Time]
- Gate: Love
- Seat: Forever
We added a little map to the venue on the back, just like a real boarding pass might have. And for an extra touch, we designed a custom logo with our initials and the wedding date, kind of like an airline logo.
After a few rounds of tweaks and making sure everything was perfect, we finally got them printed. I found a local print shop that did a fantastic job. The quality was top-notch, and they even had this slightly glossy paper that made the invitations feel like actual boarding passes. I opted for that.
Sending Them Out
We packed each invitation in a cute little envelope with a custom wax seal – fancy, right? Then, we sent them out to our guests. And let me tell you, the reactions were priceless! Everyone loved how unique and creative they were. Some people even thought they were real boarding passes at first!
So yeah, that’s the story of our boarding pass wedding invitations. It was a bit of work, but totally worth it. They really set the tone for our wedding and got everyone excited. Plus, it was a fun project for us to work on together. If you’re looking for a unique invitation idea, I definitely recommend giving this a try!
