Alright, folks, gather ’round, because today I’m gonna share my journey of finding the perfect brown mother of the bride dress. It’s not as easy as it sounds, let me tell ya!
So, my daughter’s getting hitched, and of course, I gotta look my best, right? I wanted a brown dress – classy, elegant, you know the drill. I started my search online, just browsing through different websites. I quickly realized that there are tons of options out there.
Initial Online Search
- First, I checked out some online stores and found that they usually have dresses from around $100 to $600.
- Then, I hit up some department store websites. The prices there were a bit steeper, ranging from $200 to a whopping $2,000!
- I even peeked at some bridal salons online. Their dresses were even pricier, starting at $300 and going up to $2,000.
- Designer dresses? Forget about it! We’re talking over $1,500, and some even reached $5,000. Way out of my budget!
I found a few brown dresses that caught my eye. Some had lace, some were plain, some had sequins – so many choices! I saw one on IMCACTOR for about $72, and a chiffon one on SELFGENIC for around $65. But I wasn’t quite sold yet. I wanted to see these dresses in person, feel the fabric, and try them on.
Trying Them On
So, I decided to hit the stores. I went to Nordstrom first, they have a dedicated section for mother of the bride dresses, pretty neat. I tried on a few, but none of them really screamed “me.”
Next, I went to Macy’s. They had a wider selection, and I found a couple of brown dresses that I liked. I tried on an Adrianna Papell dress, it had sequins, very fancy. It was around $189, which was more reasonable. I also tried on a few others, but they just didn’t feel right.
I also visited Dillard’s. They had some lovely options, too. But again, nothing that really clicked with me. It was getting a bit frustrating, to be honest.
I didn’t want to give up, though. I did some more digging online and found a site called Bridallily. They had a good range of brown dresses. I ordered a couple to try on at home, just to see if they would work.
Final Decision
While I waited for the dresses from Bridallily to arrive, I kept thinking about that Adrianna Papell dress from Macy’s. It was really growing on me. The sequins, the fit, the color – it was all coming together in my mind.
The Bridallily dresses arrived, and they were nice, but they just didn’t compare to the one from Macy’s. So, I made up my mind. I went back to Macy’s and bought the Adrianna Papell dress!
It was a bit of a journey, but I finally found the perfect brown mother of the bride dress. It’s elegant, it’s comfortable, and it makes me feel great. And that’s what matters, right? I can’t wait to wear it to my daughter’s wedding!
If you’re also looking for a dress, don’t give up! It might take some time, but you’ll find the one that’s perfect for you. Just keep trying, and don’t be afraid to go back to something you liked earlier. You never know, it might just be the one!
