Well now, where do I even begin? First of all, I gotta thank my mum and dad for everything they’ve done for me all these years. Not just for today, not just for the wedding, but for a lifetime of love and hard work. They’ve been there for me, through thick and thin, teaching me right from wrong, and making sure I grew up to be a good person. Without them, I wouldn’t be standing here today, ready to start this new chapter in life. So, Mum, Dad, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
And I can’t forget about my new family now, can I? You know, it’s one thing to get married, but it’s another to become a part of a whole new family. I’ve been welcomed with open arms by all of you, and that means the world to me. It’s not always easy, you know, joining a new family. But y’all have made me feel right at home, and I’m grateful for that. To my new in-laws, thank you for raising such a wonderful daughter, one who has made my life so much better. I can see where she gets her kindness, her patience, and her love for others. You’ve done a fine job, and I’ll do my best to honor her every day, just as you have.
Now, I reckon some folks might want a bit more of a speech, but I’m just gonna say this – love, family, and support are the most important things in life. And I’ve been lucky enough to have that from both sides of this wedding. My parents, who’ve always been there for me, and my new in-laws, who’ve embraced me as one of their own. I’ve learned a lot over the years, not just from books or teachers, but from the love and wisdom my folks and in-laws have shown me. They’ve taught me about hard work, patience, and loyalty, and I carry that with me every day.
And let’s not forget some of those memories that stick with you, right? I remember when I was a kid, Mum would always make the best meals. You could smell the goodness all through the house. And Dad, well, he taught me everything I know about fixing things. I reckon I owe him a lot for that, seeing as how my hands are a bit more capable now when something breaks down. Those simple things – the cooking, the lessons – they stick with you. And that’s the kind of stuff that makes you who you are.
So, here’s to all the love, all the lessons, and all the support. Thank you, Mum and Dad, for everything. And thank you to my new family, for welcoming me into your lives. This day wouldn’t be possible without all of you, and I’ll never forget the love and kindness you’ve shown me. Here’s to new beginnings, and may the love and memories we’ve all shared continue to grow as we walk this journey together.
