Alright, alright, let’s gab about these teal color bridesmaid dresses, ya hear? My granddaughter, she’s gettin’ hitched, and the fuss about these dresses, Lord have mercy! So, I figured, let me poke around and see what the hullabaloo is all about.
First off, they say this “teal” color, it’s kinda like blue and green mixed together. Not quite blue, not quite green, somethin’ in the middle. Like a duck’s feather, maybe? Anyways, they say it’s a good color for loyalty, whatever that means. Guess it means your girls won’t run off with the best man, hah!
Now, these dresses, they come in all sorts of styles. Long ones, short ones, big sizes, little sizes. My goodness, it’s like a whole market out there! They got these flowy ones, good for a beach wedding they say. Then there’s the fancy ones, for them highfalutin ballroom weddings. My granddaughter, she wants somethin’ in between, not too fancy, not too plain. Said somethin’ about makin’ a “statement”. Kids these days, always with the fancy words.
- Long dresses, they look all elegant and stuff, good for a fancy wedding.
- Short dresses, they’re cute and sassy, good for a summer wedding, I reckon.
- Big sizes, little sizes, gotta make sure everyone feels comfortable, ain’t that right?
And the prices! Oh, the prices! You got them cheap ones, and then you got ones that cost a whole month’s rent, I swear! My granddaughter, she’s tryin’ to be smart, lookin’ for a “deal,” she says. Found some online, handmade ones, they say. Cost a pretty penny, but not as much as those fancy store ones. They got one for $259.99, another for $95.99, and even one for $45.00! Can you believe it? That cheap one looks like a bunch of rags tied together, though, if you ask me.
She showed me some pictures, all these girls in teal dresses, lookin’ all happy and whatnot. They say it’s a popular color, this teal. Lots of folks are gettin’ it for their bridesmaids. Guess it’s the new thing, like them avocado toasts the young’uns are always eatin’.
Now, some of these dresses, they got this “tulle” stuff. Looks like mosquito nettin’ to me, but apparently it’s fancy. And they got these “hi-low” dresses, short in the front, long in the back. Makes no sense to me, but the girls like it, so who am I to judge? They even got these “infinity” dresses, where you can tie ’em in different ways. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss if you ask me, but the kids, they love it.
My granddaughter, she’s been frettin’ over this whole thing for weeks. Wants everything to be perfect, you know? Bless her heart. I told her, “Honey, just pick somethin’ you like, and don’t worry so much.” But she’s stubborn, just like her grandma, hah! She showed me this dress, it had some brown in it too. Teal and brown, they called it. Looked like mud to me, but she said it was “earthy” and “natural”. Kids these days, with their fancy words again!
Anyways, she finally picked some dresses. Long ones, teal colored, not too fancy, not too plain. And they didn’t break the bank, thank the Lord. Now she’s onto the shoes and the flowers and the Lord knows what else. Weddings these days, they’re a whole production, I tell ya. But as long as my granddaughter is happy, that’s all that matters. And them teal dresses, well, they’re alright I guess. Kinda pretty, even if they do remind me of a duck.
So, if you’re lookin’ for bridesmaid dresses, and you’re thinkin’ about this teal color, well, there’s a whole lot out there to choose from. Just remember, it’s your day, or your granddaughter’s day, or whoever’s day it is. Pick what you like, and don’t worry about what nobody else thinks. That’s my two cents, anyways.
And if you can find a good deal, well, that’s just the icing on the cake, ain’t it?
